To me this is lyrical.

This is my attempt that may seem contrived but I applied shasei to it.

Niagara wind
the roar of dead leaves

Of course, it does sound a little like Niagara needed Pepto-Bismol…

Mm, that totally got me - that last sentence "Its cheap plastic suddenly acquires an aura of wonder.", like everyone's just found this wonderful thing that is only great because no-one knows where it comes from. It really says something about true values - it's cheap, but it's also inherited with this enormous wonder and feeling which is priceless.

Thanks, Deb and Dylan. I am not sure we ended this as well as we could've -- we kind of ran out of steam -- but since we ended where we began in a geographic sense, in the Ukraine, one could read it as an endless loop, I suppose.

I am continuing to find new meanings in Patricia's contributions. Her background in formal verse really paid off here, I think.
